different supplies!
The ONE Stroke brushes are specifically designed for Donna's technique. Other brushes - even very expensive ones - will not give you the same results
Only a few brushes are needed to do the projects. If you work on really small projects, you'll need the small brushes. However, Plaid has made them very affordable. How-to and care information plus stroke techniques are featured on the back of the package.

One secret learned from Donna Dewberry and many other One Stroke Certified Instructors is to have several of the same brushes. With multiple brushes, you can dedicate one to each major color combination in your project allowing you to paint faster with less stress. For example, when painting your Rose garden, load one #12 flat with your flower colors and load another #12 flat with your leaf colors. Move between the colors as you paint your flowers and leaves without having to clean your brushes in between.

The genuine Plaid ONE Stroke brush
basin is a little different from the generic models you may find in your local craft store, so it takes MUCH BETTER CARE of your brushes. Especially designed to hold the ONE Stroke brushes, both bristles up (when
dry or loaded) or in the water for soaking and cleaning, this heavy-duty plastic basin will help you take care of your brushes!
This basin is 5 1/4 unches square and 3 1/4 inches deep. Seen in the bottom is
the special brush cleaning raking surface as well as 5 places to hold brushes while soaking. Note the many sized holes for holding your brushes between painting use. Color may vary.

TIP:
To paint faster and with less stress, buy (see our Secret above) extra brushes. This way you can dedicate one brush to each color combination during a project. The Plaid Brush Basin is designed to rest many of the ONE Stroke brushes in an upright position. If you will lightly coat your loaded brush with Blending Gel, you can leave a brush with one color combination while you paint with another.
For example: when to paint a rose garden, load one #12 flat with flower colors and another #12 flat with leaf colors. Move between them as you paint flowers and leaves and you don't have to clean them in between.
Be sure that your blending gel coat is very light. Run your brush across your racetrack to mix the blending gel into the paint before you resume your strokes.
